Dad in Chad! is a fantasy board game, the first in our world geography board game series which introduces players to the countries of the world, one continent at a time, using original cartoons, color matching and pneumonic devices. Our flagship game Dad in Chad! explores the continent of AFRICA and its 54 countries.

Some may find it surprising that we named our geography board game Dad in Chad! as Chad is one of the poorest countries in the world, rife with geopolitical complexities. It is in this unlikely place that the cartoon character Dad in Chad emerges, much like Charlie Chaplin who arose out of the Great Depression as the “every-person” representing the innocence, hope, love, curiosity and passion in all of us. Our game explores the wonders and beauty of Africa and the magnificent people who live and work there.

The object of Dad in Chad! is to be the first player to get Dad back home to Chad and have 3 adventures along the way. Each player moves around the game board, collecting Country Cards and Adventure Cards which they use to create their unique journey for Dad in Chad.

The Country Cards help the players identify and locate each country: their specific shape, location, and relative size on the map. The tone of this deck is whimsical. The unique cartoon on each card has little to do with the country itself other than its shape and name. For example, the country Chad looks like a man’s profile, add a cartoon bowtie and POOF! the character Dad in Chad is born.

The Adventure Cards take the players on adventures through Africa, where they discover the vibrancy of this massive continent, home to over 1 BILLION PEOPLE and measures 11.7 MILLION SQUARE MILES, the size of the U.S.A., China, India, Japan, Mexico, and most of Europe combined.
